Competition season is here...AGAIN! This past Friday & Saturday was the Crystal Cup gymnastics meet for Lauren. It was held at an athletic training center very near our house. She NAILED 2 events (vault & floor) and allowed nerves to get the better of her in the other 2 events (beam & bars) which are actually her best ones!

Lauren taking 2nd placeNow that she's got the first meet behind her, there's no looking back. She's now filled with the Eye of the Tiger! I actually downloaded that song for her to listen to on the car ride this Thursday - TO VEGAS! She will compete Friday morning at 8am, so no late nights for us while we're there. :)
A busy schedule awaits, with more trips to Lindon, Logan & Park City, Utah and Phoenix, AZ in the coming weeks. She works so hard and it's wonderful to be able to see it pay off for her! Hopefully the big payoff will be a nice scholarship - shouldn't be too hard to get with her 4.0 grades either! Good Luck Lauren & GO OLYMPUS!

That's really exciting for her and your family. Can I ask which gym she goes to and how long she's been going? My daughter really wants to start taking gymnastics. Thanks!
